Formed for, and by, the voluntary and community sector, NYLC was established in 2007 to provide the strategic direction and specialist support for learning, skills and employment for the Third Sector across North Yorkshire and York.
NYLC exists to aid partnership working between organisations to improve the provision, success and quality of learning opportunities throughout North Yorkshire.
Provides a strategic voice for the voluntary and community sector around learning provision
Promotes, facilitates and develops learning and skills activities within and through the sector
Champions workforce development within the sector
Aims to develop and sustain the activities of NYLC itself
NYLC have been awarded Future Jobs funding to create 40 new jobs in the subregion. We are only 1 of 2 Third Sector organisation in the region to have secured funding.
